Description: 1964 Gene Mauch Philadelphia Phillies professional model road Manager's jersey. Road gray jersey has "Phillies" team name lettered across the front and number "4" on back. In the collar is an embroidered strip tag with the name "Mauch" and additional tag on front tail notes the year, "1964." Above is a "Wilson" manufacturer's tag on which the size ("S") has been covered, in the period, with a small piece of cloth which has two sides loose (reason unknown). Evident usage and wash wear throughout remaining very well preserved overall. Mauch enjoyed a lengthy career in baseball with (9) playing seasons followed by (26) as a Manager which included time with (4) different teams. Though he would retire 8th in wins all-time among National League Managers it was the epic "Phold" of the 1964 Phillies which remains his most remembered season.
