Description: Fine Warren Spahn 1964 Milwaukee Braves professional model complete road uniform. Beginning with a brief stint with the Boston Braves in 1942 Warren Spahn embarked upon a legendary pitching career with the franchise that lasted until the 1964 season. Over 300 victories later Spahn had cemented his statue as the greatest pitcher in the storied history of the Braves franchise. Offered is one of only two Braves playing career era Spahn game jerseys within his personal collection dating to his final season with the Braves in 1964. Grey flannel jersey retains its original "Braves" team name across the front with #21 beneath. Back of jersey displays "Spahn" lettering across the top along with #21. Rawlings tagging affixed to the tail front with size 38, dry clean tagging on interior tail along with "Set 1 1964" flag tag. Matching grey flannel pants display proper Rawlings tagging on the interior along with "Set 1 1964" flag tag and "3- 21ins" chain stitched strip tag. Appropriate moderate use is visible throughout remaining in outstanding general condition with bright original color and laughing Brave patch on left sleeve. The lot also includes the following accessories: Original Warren Spahn Milwaukee Braves hat. Wilson tagging on interior with size 6 7/8 stamped on headband. "21" written in period black marker under the bill with evident use throughout: EX; Pair of Warren Spahn Rawlings "Fleetfoot" baseball cleats. Black leather cleats show heavy use with vintage "21" written inside the tongue: GD; and pair of blue stirrup socks with red and white trim: VG-EX. Outstanding original uniform being offered for the first time publicly directly from the Spahn family which based on provenance, condition, and completeness must be considered among the finest offered.
