Description: Early William Mills & Son fishing reel from Williams collection c.1940s. "Intrinsic" model reel is among the earliest emanating from the Williams collection. Well cared for with attached string tag (exhibiting strong age toning) which has a series of hand-written notations (not done by Ted) which read "For Ted Williams" and "clean + overhaul." Evident usage wear with some minimal surface rust/discoloration.
