Description: 1914 and 1916 Philadelphia Phillies scorecards. Pair of desirable early scorecards issued for games played at the Baker Bowl, each having the respective manager pictured ornately on designed cover. Includes 1914 example scored neatly in pencil for June 17th game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. Light toning with more pronounced strip at top front edge. Mild scattered wear with separations at top/bottom of bound edge; 1916 example is scored neatly in pencil for April 12th Opening Day game vs. the NY Giants. G.C. Alexander was on the mound for Philadelphia touching off what may have been his greatest season with the win. Light toning and general scattered handling wear throughout. Small separation at top of bound edge and scorecard page has a few small tears. Both pieces have pair of pencil "X" handwritten on front and vertical folds which have been well pressed out through years of flat storage: VG/EX and EX/MT display value with note to described condition
