Lot Number: 446

Description: 1925 World Series program (at Washington). Original program issued for game played at Griffith Stadium, seldom offered with most copies lost to time due to production on exceptionally fragile paper stock. Interior is scored neatly in pencil for Game (3) which was played October 10. It was the first game played in Washington and the cover has been so noted in period fountain pen along with several other game related notations. Displays well when viewed from the front with mild toning and scattered visible wear inclusive of several small tears at bound edge. Back cover has some chipping/surface loss and mounting residue. Brittle interior pages have scattered chipping/tearing along with some separation at bound edge. Noted condition issues aside, this remains a suitable example of a deceptively scarce program. We have only offered (3) in nearly (20) years with the last bringing $6,000 in our November 2011 sale: Technical GD/VG with VG-VG/EX display qualities

Estimated Price Range: ($1,000-$2,000)
