Description: 1940 Cy Young single signed baseball. Red and black stitched Spalding J.Tener ONL baseball has been signed across a side panel, "March 8, 1940, Cy Young, Peoli, O." Vintage fountain pen signature rates 7-7/8 out of 10. Ball displays a mild even cream coloration with shellac applied over the signed panel. A pair of quarter sized circle imperfections appear over League stampings (one being shellac, other remnant of circle shaped adhesive mount - both with surface loss at center) resulting from prior display.
