Description: Eddie Stanky Chicago Cubs professional model jacket c.1940s. Highly visual blue satin jacket with large "Cubs" logo patch on chest. "Spalding" manufacturer's tag appears on the collar and an embroidered strip tag within denotes player name "Stringer." Lou Stringer played with the Cubs in 1941 and 1942 and the jacket was presumably passed along to Eddie Stanky when he joined the team in 1943. Moderate usage and wash wear evident throughout with some fading to color and light scattered scuffing/discoloration. Highly uncommon team jacket from this early era includes period black and white photograph of Stanky wearing it (or similar jacket).
