Includes Sept 12, 1948 dated shield shaped plaque (16"x13.25") with engraved metal plate on front reading in part, "Presented to Ed Stanky in recognition of his outstanding qualities of sportsmanship which have won for him the admiration of all followers of the National Sport of Baseball." Content below relates to American Legion Post which bestowed the honor closing with date and "At Shibe Park"; June 1950 dated shield shaped plaque (11.25"x10") with engraved metal plate reading, "Metropolitan Council B'Nai Brith to Ed Stanky N.Y. Giants for Inspiring American Youth by his Exemplary Sportsmanship." Moderate wear to wood, metal plates have surface scuffing, some areas of rust, and touch of tarnish.
