Description: Walter Johnson single signed baseball. Toned B.Johnson AL baseball signed across the sweetspot in black fountain pen. Signature presents as rating 8 out of 10 with some period enhancements to the ink and an area of shellac to the signature area. Based on the appearance and boldness of the enhancement JSA was not able to visually discern the original Johnson signature underneath of the enhancement and as such cannot issue a letter. Given the provenance and surrounding contextual baseballs we feel absolutely confident that the original signature is in fact under the enhancement but for the sake of accuracy are disclosing the aforementioned observation.
