Description: Al Simmons professional quality baseball bat c.1930s. Kren's Special Hand Turned baseball bat measures 35" long and weighs 35oz. "Simmons" has been block lettered in the barrel end and the bat exhibits light usage and surface wear. Kren's is known to have produced professional model bats for several Major League players with other Simmons examples known. Photographic evidence from the period shows him using a Kren's bat during the 1930 World Series. Simmons spent (2) decades in Major League baseball during which he was a key member of the storied Philadelphia A's teams of 1929 and 1930.
