Description: 1950 Ty Cobb (2) page handwritten letter. Lengthy handwritten letter on "Tyrus R. Cobb" letterhead dated "3/6/50." Cobb is responding to an autograph seeker who has forwarded a book to be signed, a request which was denied. The explanation which follows reads in part, "I cannot signed the other book and feel alright about it, there are things...that simply is (sic) not true...I could tell you of so many of these stories...the Dykes, The Durocher story, the Wagner, the Baker spiking." Signed at the close, "Very Truly, T.R.C." in ink rating 8 out of 10. Age toning/light soiling and minor wear evident throughout. Both pages mounted to heavy stock backing.
