Description: Mike Schmidt autographed professional model baseball bat c.1980-1983. Large label Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball bat has "Schmidt" block lettered in barrel end along with "K55" model number. Measures 34.75". Evident usage wear throughout inclusive of ball transfer, stitch, and rack marks along with appropriate grain swelling. A healthy coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle which ends in an area where a red tape ring would have been applied. Schmidt would apply the tape in efforts to make the bat appear to be an Adirondack with whom he was under contract. Player number "20" written on the knob end in period marker. Signed "Mike Schmidt" in blue marker rating 8/9 out of 10. Choice example displaying highly desirable usage characteristics dating the heart of his storied career.
