Description: 1983 Harry Kalas Philadelphia Phillies National League Championship ring. Every team has their legends. Typically they are the players on whom the faithful have come to rest their emotional attachment to the game and with them we ride the ups and downs of winning and losing. There are very few figures who can evoke such a response without ever having taken the field - Harry Kalas was at the top of that short list. He joined the Phillies organization with the Opening of Veterans Stadium in 1971 and was the voice of the Franchise for nearly (40) years. Through National League and World Championships, and moments too numerous to list Harry Kalas lent one of the great broadcasting voices as narration. Original ring is one of a very small number which was presented to Kalas and his family. It features a diamond at center of the top face set within the National Logo which is displayed on a maroon stone background. "Philadelphia Phillies NL Champions" is lettered around the edge. Left shank has year "1983" in relief above a rendering of the National League Championship trophy with "Phillies - 3" "Dodgers - 1" on either side. Right has name "Kalas" at top with the Phillies 100th Anniversary logo below. Interior band is stamped "Balfour Celestrium." Ring is size 9 and exhibits little to no wear: NM
