Description:Rare Hillerich & Bradsby swinging butter churn c.1890. Notably scarce original H&B butter churn representing the original product on which J.F.Hillerich launched the company. Exhibits expected usage wear with rust to metal portions. Original manufacturer's markings remain visible on both sides having faded. Footprint measures approximately 3 feet by 2.5 feet and churn stands approximately 3 feet tall. Free standing and workable to a limited degree, it is possible that several incidental pieces of hardware and a portion of the original handle are no longer present. The first we have encountered outside of the museum collection of Louisville Slugger: VG/EX-EX
