Lot Number: 239

Description: Rare 1925 World Series program (at Washington). Original program issued for game played at Griffith Stadium, scored neatly in pencil for Game (4) which was played October 11. Well preserved covers show mild consistent soiling/toning with light wear largely confined to edges/corners. They appear to have separated along the bound edge and were professionally reaffixed to each other and then the balance of the program. Brittle interior pages have held up well with expected wear at edges. Several of the most central have separated from the binding. Scorecard page split at center fold line and has been professionally mounted, at the extreme interior edges, to their facing pages. Noted condition/restoration issues aside, this is an exceptional survivor and one of the few complete examples to have surfaced: Presents as VG-VG/EX with note to restoration, displays VG/EX-EX
