Description: 1939 New York Yankees team autographed baseball. Lightly toned Harridge AL ball signed by (23) members of the World Champion Yankees including Gehrig, Lazzeri, Dickey, Rolfe, Ruffing, and Gomez. DiMaggio is clubhouse signed. Signatures range from 4-8 out of 10 with the majority grading 6 or better. 1939 Yankees team signed baseballs with authentic Gehrig autographs are seldom seen. The ball bears a heavy coat of shellac and originates from the collection of former Yankees batboy Bob Pucci. Pucci served as batboy for the New York Yankees and Giants from 1939-1942 and had the honor of being the batboy for the NL squad at the 1939 All-Star game played at Yankee Stadium.
