Description: Exceedingly rare 1919 World Series press pin at Chicago. Striking gilt and enamelwork press pin as issued for the 1919 World Series games played at Chicago's Comiskey Park featuring a bust image of Charles Comiskey flanked by two "Sox" emblems. The pin remains in outstanding original condition retaining its original threaded post backing. Most notably, the original silk ribbon remains attached to the in with "Press World Series 1919" lettering across the front. The ribbon has a few areas of tattering and some minor tears but remains basically intact with excellent display qualities. The offered exemplar is the first that we have handled and is one of a minute few which have retained their original ribbon: EX-MTEstimated Price Range: ($10,000-$15,000)
