Description: 1963 Gaylord Perry San Francisco Giants professional model jersey. Road gray flannel jersey with "San Francisco" lettered across the front and player number "36" on back in matching black on orange font. MacGregor manufacturer's tag in the collar with red chain stitched "Perry Gaylord" strip tag below. Additional MacGregor tag in front tail reads "Set 1 1963." The jersey remains in well preserved all original condition with the exception of (2) replaced buttons and a third which is missing. Otherwise, it displays light evident usage wear. Perry made his Major League debut the year before and played a shortened (13) game season before stepping into the regular Giants rotation in 1963. Over a (22) year career he complied 314 wins, 3,534 strikeouts, and was the first pitcher to win a Cy Young Award in both the National and American Leagues. Exceptional all original flannel dating to what can be considered his Rookie season is the first Giants era Perry jersey that we have offered.
