Description: 1970 Jim Palmer "Professional Athlete of the Year" award. Handled presentational trophy has been engraved on the front, "Phoenix Press Box Association, Professional Athlete of The Year 1970, Jim Palmer." Affixed to the base is the "PPBA" logo. Stands 10" tall with 6" diameter base expanding to 9.5" open top. Moderate scattered wear/tarnish with dent at back of base. One handle has been re-affixed. Palmer's 1970 season helped solidify the Baltimore Orioles as one of the great teams of the era as he anchored a pitching staff which hosted (3) 20 game winners and they won the first of (2) consecutive Championships: EX-EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($400-$600)
