Description: Mickey Mantle professional model baseball bat c.1957. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35.5" long and weighs 33.1oz. The bat displays evident usage wear inclusive of ball transfer and stitch markings with a hint of grain separation. Model number "M110" is stamped on the knob end which bears trace vestiges of a marker notation, no longer visible to the naked eye. Obtained by our consignor during his time as a batboy during the mid-late 1950s. Mantle excelled in the period winning two Most Valuable Player Awards including one during his 1956 Triple Crown campaign. The Yankees flourished under his leadership winning a pair of World Series. Fine representation of a professional model Mantle bat dating to the height of his storied career and among the most desirable labeling periods within the collecting field.
