Description: 1878 Pocket Billiards Championship scoresheet from the collection of Willie Mosconi. Important handwritten accounting of the first pocket billiards Championship which was held in Union Square in New York, April 8-20, 1878. This piece was owned and cherished by Willie Mosconi for many years after he was presented with it following one of his own billiards victories. He later offered it for display in a public venue and the identifier remains affixed to the front of the frame. The paper has been tested and it has been determined that it is not original to the period, rather was created c.1930s. 12"x16.5" overall, framed.
