Description: Earl Weaver 1966 Baltimore Orioles World Series ring. Classic Championship ring features center (40) pt. diamond set within a baseball field against jet black background. "Baltimore Orioles World Champions" is lettered around the edge. On the right shank is a relief of Memorial Stadium with "Orioles" team name scripted on a baseball and the year "1966" below. Left shank has the name "E.Weaver" across the top with ball, glove, and bat design. The interior band has been stamped "LGB 14K" and has "Official" engraved denoting Weaver's role within the organization. Size 9. Prior to assuming managerial duties for the Baltimore Orioles, Weaver worked with many of the Franchise's Minor League affiliates. It was in this capacity that he nurtured the talent of many of the members of the 1966 Championship team. Light wear with the diamond having been replaced. Seldom offered Championship ring with highly significant historical relevance to a legendary Baltimore figure. Includes letter of provenance from Earl Weaver: EX/MT
