Description: June 23, 1953 Robin Roberts season win #12 game-used baseball. Ball used at Wrigley Field vs. the Chicago Cubs. Colorful hand painted and lettered baseball has game information throughout incl. score, win number, rendering of baseball diamond (stats lettered within), and hand drawn likeness of Cubs hat. Notated on side panel, "Robin completes his 25th straight game. Last time he needed help was Aug. 20, 1952. Which (sic) he pitched 229 2/3 successive innings without relief." Evident usage wear, age toning, even coat of shellac, and light scuffing/crazing throughout. Includes letter of provenance from the Roberts family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($200-$400)
