Description: September 6, 1952 Robin Roberts season win #23 game-used baseball (Roberts takes Major League wide lead for season). Ball used at Shibe Park vs. the Boston Braves. Colorful hand painted and lettered baseball has game information throughout incl. score, win number, and rendering of baseball diamond (stats lettered below, Ennis game winning homerun depicted within). Note that with the win, Roberts took to lead in wins for the season for both American and National Leagues. Art and content wise, this is one of the finer balls in the 1952 run. Evident usage wear, age toning, even coat of shellac, and very minimal scuffing/crazing throughout. Includes letter of provenance from the Roberts family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
