Description: Scarce "Executioner" style football helmet c.1920s-30s. Desirable original example of the rarest football helmet style. Soft leather shell football helmet with elastic forehead band has factory installed facemask portion. Retains a good portion of the original mahogany coloration with wear and scuffing throughout. Facemask was riveted on and has loosened/minimally torn off on the left hand side. In addition, the upper layer of leather on mask has largely fallen off revealing a fine underlayer which allows for display. Suspension style interior and padding intact. No manufacturer's markings. Including the two in this sale, we have handled a total of (3) Executioner style helmets in nearly 20 years and this is the first we have encountered with a factory affixed mask: Technical VG/EXEstimated Price Range: ($3,000-$5,000)
