Description: **UPDATED** 1919 World Series program at Cincinnati. Significant program as issued for the first game played at Cincinnati in which White Sox pitcher Eddie Cicotte hit Reds leadoff hitter Morrie Rath to signal that the "fix was on". The White Sox, or Black Sox as they became known, went on to throw the 1919 World Series is what is historically recognized as one of the most significant events in baseball history. Program remains complete with some very minor spine separation, few small edge tears, and light pencil notation on front cover. Interior scoring pages are neatly scored in pencil and have become detached from spine. The back cover is missing from this program: VG-EX
