Description: September 18, 1969 Vada Pinson 2,000th hit baseball. Milestone ball was hit by Vada Pinson for a homerun during Sept. 18, 1969 Cardinals vs. Pirates game off Joe Gibbon for his 2,000th career hit. Spalding ONL baseball (stampings largely worn off) exhibits usage wear throughout and has been neatly hand lettered with pertinent game information on all but (1) panel. One of a relatively small number of players to have reached the 2,000 hit plateau, Pinson retired with a career total of 2,757 which currently places him 50th on the All-Time list.
