Description: Goose Gossage professional model baseball glove c.1984. Mizuno light tan leather glove as used by HOF pitcher Goose Gossage as a member of the NL Champion Padres in 1984. Professional quality Mizuno "World Win" RHT model glove displays evident usage remaining in fine general condition. "Goose" written in period black sharpie on the back of the glove with "54" in black marker on the embroidered Mizuno label. Interior of the glove has "Booker" written neatly in red marker denoting Padres teammate Greg Booker to whom the glove was given. The lot includes two signed and dated letters of provenance from Goose Gossage and Greg Booker, respectively. Both letters denote the history of the glove as having been given to Booker by Gossage after the 1984 season. The letters further attribute the glove's use to the World Series in addition to the regular season Hall of Fame player worn gloves with primary source provenance are exceedingly rare with the offered example being the first Gossage specimen we have handled.
