Description: 1979 Dave Winfield San Diego Padres professional model home jersey. Rare and desirable early playing career knit jersey as worn by Hall of Fame member Dave Winfield with the San Diego Padres. White knit jersey with gold and brown trim retains its original "Padres" team name across the front with "31" beneath. Back of the jersey features "Winfield" nameplate which is a vintage replacement. Original #31 is found below having been signed by Winfield in black sharpie. Wilson manufacturing label (size 44) is affixed to the tail front along with "31 79" chain stitched number/year tag. The jersey exhibits evident use and wash wear having fine overall display qualities. Included with the jersey is a period 1979 black and white image showing Winfield wearing a similar, if not identical, jersey on "Dave Winfield" night at San Diego.
