Description: Willie Mays professional model baseball bat c.1958-62. Adirondack model 302 bat measures 36" long and weighs 34 oz. The bat shows very fine use including ball marks, stitching impressions, and an area of deadwood to the back of the barrel. Model #M63 stamped on the knob end with a wonderful period "24" written in black marker. The Adirondack manufacturer's stampings and Mays facsimile signature markings have been enhanced due to typical fading of the black lettering. There are also a few minor spots of inpainting to surface indentations primarily to the back of the barrel. Desirable early playing career Mays pro model bat dating to his early years with the Giants after the move to San Francisco.
