Description: Christy Mathewson "Fad-A-Way" gumball display box c.1915. Colorful period lidded store display box picturing Christy Mathewson throwing his famed "Fad-a-Way" pitch. The top right corner of the box lid has a separation at the seam and remainder of the exterior exhibits light scattered general wear including minor soiling. Interior graphic has same surface abrasion. The box includes a group of period baseball gumballs in the original style as once sold in the display with printed notations such as "Safe" or "Home Run."
