Description: Pair of Heubach German bisque porcelain baseball figurines c.1880s. Seldom offered large size variation batter and pitcher figurines stand 14 1/2" tall with hand painted red and blue pinstriped uniforms. The pitcher figurine is very clean with a few very minor rim flakes around the bottom edge. Impressed German manufacturer stampings "Geschuetzt-Gesetzlich" appear under the base: EX-MT. Batter figural has a few minor edge flakes around the bottom rim and has losses to the finger tips on one hand. Bat is a replacement (commonly seen on this figural): EX. Fresh pair recently discovered in a private estate.
