Description: 1912 World Series photographic display piece. Rare large format printed photographic display measures an impressive 22"x32" framed picturing three separate images chronicling the 1912 World Series. Images include 1912 Boston Red Sox, 1912 New York Giants, and a panoramic view of the Polo Grounds in New York. Players are identified for both teams in the bottom margin with titling of "World's Championship Baseball 1912" at the top. "Taken With Goerz Dagor No. 6" appears in red lettering at the top image and in the center margin in reference to a new type of large format photographic lens developed in the period. It is certainly possible that the offered piece was in fact some sort of promotional or advertising item for the Goerz Dagor lens as we have not previously encountered another example. Overall condition is fairly nice with some soiling primarily to the edges and a few small edge tears which have been repaired on the verso.
