Spalding Official Intercollegiate NO.J5 football shell with hinged lid opens along the center horizontal seam. Fashioned into a presentation piece with black wooden base bearing affixed metal plaquard reading "Chas. E. L. Wingate, Compliments of Christy Walsh." Signed on the upper portion by Tad Jones, Glenn S. (Pop) Warner, and Knute Rockne with each inscribing their respective school name. Black fountain pen signatures rate 6 to 8 out of 10. Ball exhibits light scattered soiling and is missing (3) laces. Fine display piece produced in extremely limited quantities with the offered being among the finest condition examples to have surfaced.
