Description: Scarce Al Simmons single signed baseball. Lightly toned Wilson "Interscholastic League" baseball is signed on a side panel in vintage fountain pen, "Al Simmons." Signature rates 6/7 out of 10. Ball exhibits minor surface soiling. Simmons managed an impressive 20 year career as one of the game's premier hitting outfielders and a key member of Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics Dynasty. He was inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame in 1953 and passed away less than (3) years later. There are a scant few Simmons singles circulating and this is the first we have handled.
