Description: 1931 World Series program (St. Louis vs. Philadelphia) signed by Babe Ruth, John McGraw and others. Program issued for 1931 World Series game at Sportsman's Park has been signed on the cover by Ruth, McGraw, Nick Altrock and Bozeman Bulger. Pencil signatures rate 8-9 out of 10. Program itself shows moderate wear and light cover soiling. Cover has split and loosened at spine. Clean interior remains unscored with game notation at top of scoring grid page reading, "2nd game of series Philadelphia Oct. 2, 1931 Cardinals Win 2-0 Hallahan, Earnshaw/Wilson, Cochrane". The offered program was obtained by a young man who played in a St. Louis area men's baseball league in 1931. As a reward for winning his league championship, he and his fellow teammates were each issued an usher's pass for the 1931 World Series. He gained access to the press box prior to Game #2, where he encountered Babe Ruth, McGraw and the others and obtained their signatures.
