Spalding Inter-Collegiate football (model number not visible) attributed to the October 28, 1944 Notre Dame vs. Univ. of Illinois game via handpainted notations on the side reading "1944 Notre Dame 13 Illinois 7." It has been signed by (25) incl. Ed McKeever, Jack Robinson, Pat Filley, Bob Kelly, George Ratterman, and others. The black ink sigantures rate 8 to 9 out of 10. Exhibits usage wear and surface soiling. Retains air although partially deflated. Includes a letter of provenance from former player Chick Maggioli who was a member of the Notre Dame team and was presented the ball after rushing for the winning touchdown.
