Description: 1941 Lou Gehrig funeral original photograph. Stirring 7"x9" photo pictures Gehrig lying in state as young fans pay their respects. Original paper credit dated "6/3/41" has detached from back but is included. Credit reads, "Silent Tribute - Young fans stand in reverent respect viewing the body of the late Lou Gehrig, former Yankee baseball star and 'Iron Man' of baseball at the Church of The Divine Paternity today. Gehrig died at his home here last night after a long illness. The boys have their gloves with them as they pay respect to their hero."
