Description: Boston Red Sox team autographed baseball c.1913-15. Rare and desirable Official American League baseball with specific date stampings on the side panel pinpointing its manufacture to 1914-15. The ball itself exhibits evident game use with light to moderate age toning having been signed by (21) players to include Babe Ruth, Joe Wood, Tris Speaker (twice), Carl Mays, Duffy Lewis, Les Nunamaker, Carl Mays, Jake Stahl, Charley Hall, Buck O'Brien, and Cy Young. Signatures range from 1-6 out of 10 with Ruth, Young, and Speaker among the better condition examples. Based on player dating it appears that the ball was signed between the period of 1913 to 1915 with Cy Young signing as a former Red Sox player rather than a current team member. The sweet spot of the ball has some period gilt paint over top of a black ink inscription which appears to read, "Boston Red Sox 1915".
