Description: Fine gold pocket watch from the estate of Wally Schang. High quality gold pocket watch manufactured by the American Waltham Watch Company c.1930s. The lever set watch features a highly ornate 14k yellow gold case with tri-color gold decoration including a deer's head on one side in rose colored gold above an inset diamond. Opposite side features the engraved initials "AB". Catcher Wally Schang was a winner almost everywhere he played, appearing in the World Series six times during his 19-year career that included stints with the A's, Red Sox, Browns, Yankees and Tigers. The watch originated from a longtime friend of the Schang family along with several other memorabilia items. A letter of provenance is included.
