Description: 1913 New Orleans Pelicans Opening Day Invitation cover. 6"x7 1/4" cover of printed invitation for the April 10, 1913 opening day game for the New Orleans Pelicans of the Southern Association. The invitation appears to have had a fold over leaf that was detached at the spine. The New Orleans Pelicans of this era were a much storied franchise inclusive of Joe Jackson's memorable season in 1910, in which he led all league batters with a .354 average, and back-to-back pennant winners in 1910 and 1911: EXEstimated Price Range: ($300-$500)
