Lot Number: 165

Description: 1957 Brooklyn Dodgers team autographed baseball. Off-white Giles NL ball is signed by (24) members of the final Brooklyn Dodgers team including Alston, Campanella, Snider, Reese, Herman, Koufax, Drysdale, Hodges, Jackson, Erskine, Bessent, Valo, Newcombe, Cimoli, Furillo, Pitler, Becker, Walker, Roebuck, Zimmer, Roseboro, Neal, Podres, and Labine. The blue ink signatures are uniformly bold, averaging 9 out of 10. This ball, representing the Dodgers' final year in Brooklyn, also bears the vintage blue-ink notation "For Pamela Felton - 1957" written on the sweet spot. That inscription is in the hand of Happy Felton, the longtime host of the popular Dodger's pregame show "Happy Felton's Knothole Gang." Felton's immensely popular pregame show ceased production following the Dodgers heartbreaking move from Brooklyn to Los Angles after the 1957 season. The ball has an extremely light abrasion on the label and is otherwise quite clean and in fine overall condition. Entirely free of clubhouse signatures. Includes LOA from JSA: Ball: NM Signatures: NM/MT-MT
