Description: Richard Nixon signed 1930 Cardinal and White High School yearbook (VG/EX) Leatherbound 1930 edition of the Cardinal & White, the Whittier Union High School yearbook. Reffered to on the title page as the "Arabian Number." Nixon initially began at Fullerton High School and transferred to Whittier in 1930, his Junior year. He is depicted on page 24 as the General Manager of the Student Body Officers, page 75 as President of the Scholarship Society, and page 95 as an Athletic Coach. After becomming President, Nixon was approached by a classmate with the book and at that time signed it "To Lep Cline, with best wishes from his classmate, Dick Nixon" in blue ink rating 8 to 9 out of 10. The book exhibits wear throughout and the interior has seperated along the front cover binding. There are period ink and pencil notations throughout. Includes photograph of Nixon signing: VG/EX with note to cover separation
