Description: Rare "Short Stop" baseball cigar box c.1880-83. Mahogany lidded box retains an exterior paper side label picturing a comedic game scene and an interior lid label with a color tinted game scene engraving marked Harris & Son, Phila. Box retains majority of its orig. tax stampings and has light age wear to the labels incl. creasing and slight chipping. Lid has been re-attached. Very early baseball related cigar box with rare two label variation format: EXEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,250)
