Description: Pepper Martin professional model baseball bat with Leo Durocher factory side writing c.1936. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 33.4oz. The bat shows heavy use including ball marks, cleat marks, and original handle tape (2 of 3 pieces remaining). Louisville Slugger mfg. stampings and Pepper Martin facsimile signature stampings remain quite bold. Additionally, the bat exhibits Hillerich & Bradsby Co. factory side writing on a side panel, "330. Leo Durocher . 5-20-36 St. Louis, Nat'l Lea.". Two period applied labels also are present as addressed by Leo Durocher to Henry Morrow at Hillerich & Bradsby. Very fine game bat with relation to two of the most prominent members of the St. Louis Cardinals "Gashouse Gang". Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: VG-EX
