Description: 1973 Tug McGraw New York Mets home jersey. White knit jersey with blue pinstriping displays the "Mets" team name across the front with #45 beneath. The reverse has a restored #45 (outline of original #45 stitching pattern is visible underneath). "41 73 45" is chain stitched onto a strip tag inside the collar with Rawlings mfg. tagging affixed to the tail front. The jersey exhibits evident use and wash wear most notably to the "45" on the front and has been signed across the front by McGraw in blue sharpie. Tug McGraw was an exceptional relief pitcher for many years with the New York Mets and Phila. Phillies, and was known for his enthusiasm for the game and charismatic personality.
