Description: Joe L.Brown's 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series trophy. Original figural trophy presented to Joe L. Brown as the general manager of the 1960 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. High quality figural trophy stands 11" tall featuring brass pennants with team names around the perimeter of a large brass circle with a crown finial. Yankees and Pirates enameled World Series press pin facades adorn the center area and "World Champions Pittsburgh Pirates 1960" appears in black lettering on the front. Remaining very clean with only minimal age toning, the trophy also retains its original Balfour manufacturer label on the base. Seldom are trophies of this type and quality from the general manager of the team offered for public sale. Desirable original trophy from the storied 1960 World Series in which Bill Mazeroski's home run sealed the series win for the Pirates.
