Description: 1989 Dave Parker Oakland Athletics professional model road jersey from the 1989 World Series. Road grey knit shirt features Oakland script lettering on front with player #39 on left breast and on back. Embroidered A's elephant logo patch appears on left sleeve along with black armband that was added only to 1989 World Series jerseys in remembrance of Bart Giamatti. The 1989 World Series patch appears on opposite sleeve. Parker's name is stitched on nameplate on back. Rawlings tagging is stitched inside front tail noting size "52" with adjacent flag tag noting "2 inch extra length". Parker has signed the front in black sharpie with notation "1989 World Champs 10-17-89". Signature rates 10 out of 10. Shirt exhibits light to moderate usage wear. Completely original and unaltered shirt from the Series that is best remembered for the tragic Loma Prieta earthquake, which occurred on October 17 at the beginning of Game 3 and caused a 10-day disruption in play.
