Description: Magnificent Christy Mathewson Tuxedo Tobacco advertising display c.1910. Stunning large format piece ranks among the most visually appealing baseball related advertising displays ever created. A large portrait likeness of Matty appears at the center with "Tuxedo" titling above. His endorsement runs along the bottom and is completed by a facsimile signature. Displays at EX/MT or better level with a few overt flaws visible upon close examination. It has been restored to this level of appearance with the highest quality of workmanship that we have seen and presumably at great expense. This work was done in what appears to be a few isolated areas with the bulk of the piece original as issued.
