Description: Rare 1887 St. Louis Browns Opening Day silk with Charles Comiskey. Impressive souvenir was an opening day stadium giveaway from team President Chris Van Der Ahe to female fans in attendance at the St. Louis Brown first home game. Done at the highest level of quality, the approx. 5.5"x10" piece is nicely illustrated with Charles Comiskey depicted at the top and a portrait of von der Ahe himself adorns the center. In fine overall condition with a small hole at upper left. Otherwise, there is a hint of light toning/wear. The Brown claimed an American Association pennant in 1887 and counted among their ranks a number of stars players including Comiskey, Silver King, Arlie Latham, Bob Caruthers, and Tip O'Neill: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
